Juan Jose Gonzalez ICIRR's non-partisan Get-Out-The Vote efforts called the New Americans Democracy Project and New Americans Vote 2008, a movement to mobilize immigrant voters resulting in over 25,000 voter registrations and 50,000 immigrant voters to the polls. . Juan has also organized a team of immigrant youth, called the DREAM Team, to advocate for pro-immigrant policies like the DREAM Act or Driver's Certificates for immigrant drivers here in Illinois.

Juan is a naturalized immigrant from Mexico and grew up in Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from Princeton University in 2006 where he majored in Politics, with certificates in Political Economy and African-American Studies. He was awarded the Princeton Class of 1969 Black Alumni Frederick Douglas Service award for work to improve the lives of racial minorities on campus.
